Throughout the semester I was responsible for developing and managing a blog website for academic course MEJO732: Strategic Writing. I was also responsible for writing and posting an article for 10 weeks. The blog site could be about any topic of our choosing and as an avid college football enthusiast, I curated "College Football Weekly."
Using the AP Top 25 College Football Poll as the main source, "College Football Weekly" follows weekly game recaps and discusses current rankings of teams in Division 1 conferences. Each article features either stock or in-person images. In addition to photo images, I collaborated with high school football coach and aspiring sports graphic designer, Brenden Deanda, to make graphic images. These images were created using graphic design website, Canva.
I also learned the fundamentals of the WordPress website developer through this experience. Building and managing this website expanded my knowledge regarding SEO (search engine optimization) and website development.
